Palafox Associates

Palafox Associates is an architectural, urban planning and design consultancy firm founded by Urban Planner/Architect Felino A. Palafox, Jr. in 1989. The firm has carried out the master planning, urban design and/ or architectural design of islands, provinces, cities, towns, shopping centers, residential and golf course communities, commercial, institutional, industrial, tourism and mixed-used development projects. The firm has master planned more than 800, 000 hectares of land and has been involved in the architectural design of more than 3,500,000 square meters in building floor area in ten countries (Philippines, Saipan, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Dubai-UAE, Saudi Arabia, Baku-Azerbaijan, Jordan and United States of America. The architects, planners, and designers bring together a wealth of experience gained from 16 countries.

Palafox Associates has been certified by TUV of Germany, a certification body on international standards for its integrated Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QEMS) based on ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards. Palafox Associates is the first in the Planning and Architecture professions and reportedly the first company in the Philippines to have implemented and successfully passed certification audits for an Integrated QEMS.

Palafox Associates is the only planning and design firm in the Philippines that has made it to the London-based World Architecture Magazine’s Top 300 Architectural Firms in the World. World Architecture Magazine conducts an international survey of the 2,500 design and architectural firms worldwide – for the top 300 design firms. The annual survey of the Top 300 Architectural Firms is internationally recognized as the most comprehensive survey of its kind. Palafox Associates improved its rank among the world’s best –from 247 last year to number 193 this year 2001.
